Group Meetings - Miss Georgiou

Group meetings have a range of purposes. They allow me and my group to come to veer and organise ourselves towards what days of planning, research or shooting we are going to do on a particular day. We could then record this upon a document to keep up to date with what the group as a whole have done and how long it took to complete this. They are essential to carry out as they allow me and my group to understand what we have already done so we can move onto the next step of making our own music video. This allowed us to become more organised and handle time management well. We had a range of strengths when working as a team such as coming up with different ideas which we would combine into one to make an effective music video. An example of this is when we planned cinematography, vocally saying what we would think would be effective to use such as close ups to show the artists facial expressions in great detail and then listening to other group members opinion upon my idea and what else they can contribute. As you can see from the table, we worked well as team as we would all interact in all the plans for the music video to show a team effort and dedication towards it. If I could change anything from the group meetings, it would have to be the dates. I think we gave ourselves too much time for less important or easier things which would leave us less time for more important things such as actually filming the scenes. I think allowing planning to be done in a day would have been more effective than allowing 2-3 days as fresh and efficient ideas can be forgotten etc.

I have learnt a range of things from carrying out the group meetings. Making this table helped me to understand how important it is to organise ourselves and to acknowledge planning techniques which I have completed and which me and my group need to finish or start, to be effective with time she. Making our music video. I think me and my group worked very well together as we all came up with different ideas but are able to listen to everyone's I out and try to include all of it in an effective way. We worked well with communicational skills and it benefitted the music video that we all felt co overtake to put our say in even if we was right or wrong as we are all friends and easy to talk to. Although, group meetings did help us with time management, if I could change it, I would want to use it more to ensure our time keeping is beneficial and not stressful. By doing so, would allow me and my group to calmly produce our music video and can feel pleased with it without it maybe looking rushed and random.

  1. This post demonstrates a proficient understanding of why group meetings are essential to carry out. The table that you have included demonstrates good planning techniques, as it is clear to see what you and your group did, to create your music video.

    Aim-
Elaborate on the points that you have included in your conclusion, by expanding on the points that you have made and by relating back to your production
