Group Meetings - Miss Georgiou

Group meetings have a range of purposes. They allow me and my group to come to veer and organise ourselves towards what days of planning, research or shooting we are going to do on a particular day. We could then record this upon a document to keep up to date with what the group as a whole have done and how long it took to complete this. They are essential to carry out as they allow me and my group to understand what we have already done so we can move onto the next step of making our own music video. This allowed us to become more organised and handle time management well. We had a range of strengths when working as a team such as coming up with different ideas which we would combine into one to make an effective music video. An example of this is when we planned cinematography, vocally saying what we would think would be effective to use such as close ups to show the artists facial expressions in great detail and then listening to other group members opinion upon my idea and what else they can contribute. As you can see from the table, we worked well as team as we would all interact in all the plans for the music video to show a team effort and dedication towards it. If I could change anything from the group meetings, it would have to be the dates. I think we gave ourselves too much time for less important or easier things which would leave us less time for more important things such as actually filming the scenes. I think allowing planning to be done in a day would have been more effective than allowing 2-3 days as fresh and efficient ideas can be forgotten etc.

I have learnt a range of things from carrying out the group meetings. Making this table helped me to understand how important it is to organise ourselves and to acknowledge planning techniques which I have completed and which me and my group need to finish or start, to be effective with time she. Making our music video. I think me and my group worked very well together as we all came up with different ideas but are able to listen to everyone's I out and try to include all of it in an effective way. We worked well with communicational skills and it benefitted the music video that we all felt co overtake to put our say in even if we was right or wrong as we are all friends and easy to talk to. Although, group meetings did help us with time management, if I could change it, I would want to use it more to ensure our time keeping is beneficial and not stressful. By doing so, would allow me and my group to calmly produce our music video and can feel pleased with it without it maybe looking rushed and random.

Photoshoot - Miss Miller

For my music video, we had to take into consideration a range of different tasks which would help to make it successful. These included such things as magazine adverts and digipaks. To complete these types of advertisements for the album, me and my groups had to take photos of particular scenarios which we thought would be most appropriate to represent our artist in a particular light. We needed to take photos to ensure the focus and detailing on them was to almost perfection to make a successful digipak and magazine advert. We was going to screen shot fractions from scenes to include as pictures, but we quickly realised this would be ineffective and would only make it seem blurry due to the character moving around whilst performing and less focus than a still picture would show.

The front cover is the most important page out of the whole digipak, as it is the first thing the audience see. If it is not effective, it will disengage the audience immediately and will make them not want to even bother looking at the rest. The image is extremely important as it is the thing which is taking up most of the page, as it is the background. This image was used for the first page of my digipak, which would be the first page the audience would see and create a first impression upon. I liked this picture as she is shown to be very focused on a certain thing, which we cannot see while she is performing. It is clear that she is performing due to iconography used such as microphone and its stand, the stage curtains and how the artist is dressed, such as elegant off the shoulder black dress, half of  her hair clipped back with the rest had time taken in by using a curling wand and also use of makeup which highlighted parts of the artists facial features such as lips and eyes. I wanted the first page to show the artist looking very attractive, which can intrigue audience towards looking at the rest of the digipak and then listening to the album. The artist is shown to have a very straight face whilst she performing, which can covey to the audience that the song she is singing is very serious to her. This can appeal to the target audience (15-25) as they can feel intruiged to know what kind of emotion the artist is going through.  I only wanted to use an image with only the artist in, to represent her as a solo and independent artist, and also showing the importance of her towards the album.  I like how the edit enphasises her face shape such as defined cheek bones, which is seen to be an attractive. I wanted to use the black and white edit as it was conventional towards the soul genre. Also, as the colour black is seen as very mysterious and white is seen as very bland, not much is given away to the audience which can intrigue them towards listening to the album as the front cover is almost like it is teasing them.  I like how the audience are able to see the quiff on the artists hair, which shows inspiration from our chosen artist of Amy Winehouse, as that was her signature style. I think the facial expression she is making is extremely effective as it shows her disregard towards everything and is completely getting in the zone within her music. This shows her dedication towards her career and how seriously she takes it. This can then relate to the hidden message of her being an independent woman and not living for men, as she will only get her heart broken, which is why she is so careless and rebellious. This is subversive towards the genre of soul, as female artists are typically shown to be heart broken over someone they loved who did not care for their feelings. This shows my artists to be an extraordinary and different artist, which can be refreshing for audiences and idolising for young girls to stay strong and do what you want to do in order to be happy. Throughout the album, Cara-Lily teaches audiences that you should live for yourself to be happy and do not care what anyone else thinks, and I think using this image is a good way to start of the overall meaning of the album. I wanted to use this picture for both my magazine advert and my front page of my digipak as i wanted to show her in a physically good looking way. The photos where she is performing at a jazz scene is where she is looking most attractive with her hair and makeup done nicely and also wearing appropriate yet tasteful clothes. Using this is conventional towards the soul genre as she is percoeved as sweet and innocent. I didn't want to go straight in with her actual persona and overwhelm the audience with her wild actions as it can portray her as easy and 'trampy.' Using this photo can appeal to the audience as they can wish to learn more about her as they are physically attracted to her. Young girls may wish to want to see more of her styles and trends so that can be inspired and copy their idol. Boys can find her attractive and want to hear the album to match a voice to their celebrity crush.

I wanted to use this picture as I thought be an effective way of showing the artists physical appearance of facial expressions and body language into one of the pages. Within this picture, she is shown to be dressed nicely on a stage ready to perform. She has her hair in a quiff with curled ends and makeup to define facial features such as her eyes and lips. I wanted to include this as it looks conventional due to the sadness it portrays. She is shown to be looking down to the floor, which can show she is deep in thought about something serious and sad. She is not shown to be positive with a smile on her face, but with a very bland expression. I liked how she is shown to be performing due to the type of dressed up clothing she is wearing and the stage curtain behind her. The fact that she is holding the curtains whilst being slightly inside of them can convey a sense of suffocation as she looks like she is about to wrap the material around herself. She could feel mentally suffocated due to the big crowd watching her and her feeling nervous due to the personal songs she is about to sing. This shows her in a vulnerable state, which is conventional towards the genre of soul as it can make the artist feel sad and small, rather than smiley and confident. I wanted to include this certain image for the personal message page as it seemed more passionate. I thought the more vulnerable she seemed, the better as it would seem then more personal and intimate as she is also sending a message towards how thankful she is of her fans. The image of her looking sad can allow the audience to visualise an interpretation of her getting emotional whilst writing the speech. This can then build a relationship between artist and audience as the audience start to believe this bond is more personal and exclusive rather than just watching one of their music videos. The artist is acknowledging the audience and personally thanking them. I wanted to include an image where most of the artists body is being shown as I thought it would fit well with the text being written around the natural curves of the artists body. I thought this would be more effective than using a close up for the background or it would mean that it would cover the whole background and the text would have to layer over the artists face, which then could make it seem hard to read and then ineffective. For the edit of the image for my digipak, I wanted to make the artists seem more bright, which is why I made the curtains more of a darker maroon, red which then made it easier for the white text to be read. I wanted to use this photo for this particular page where it is most personal, as she is looking down which can show she is deep in thought, leaving the audience to interpret that this is because she is thinking about what to write within this personal message. Including a picture of her allow the audience to fluently visualise how she physically looks if she was to say this message aloud. This can appeal to the audience as it then feels much more personal and rawr than just using something boring like a black background. I also like how the writing fits around the figure of the artist, making it the page flow more and making it look more effective.

This image was used for my disc cover of my digipak. I admired this picture as she is shown to be looking in the mirror, admiring herself whilst buffing her hair up and pouting her lips. This is subversive to the genre of soul as the artist is usually shown to be devastated over a situation, and has low self esteem, always crying and more. This picture shows her to be confident, which audiences can admire due to her careless attitude towards everything. This is a good way to show her personality through pictures as it shows her to have full self esteem, and feel good in her own skin, the audience can admire this and can also encourage them to feel good about themselves, as fans are idolising her and wish to be just like her. This can show a sense of positivity she is providing towards audiences. I also liked this picture as she is shown as very girly and attractive, I like how the type of harsh lighting shows the shadows of the artists long eyelashes, which audiences of girls can idolise, as the target audience age range (15-25 years old) of girls can be very insecure about certain aspects of themselves, and there are things out as products such as eyelashes which are longer versions of your natural eyelashes, which make your eyes seem bigger, brighter and more attractive. As the shadows make the eyelashes look even longer can leave the audience in lust towards them and can interest them in watching more things of her such as music videos to see more about her makeup techniques so that they can copy the trend. Using the artist which is attractive within the music video is conventional towards the genre of soul as female artists are shown to be pretty which make the audience sympathetic towards them when they are shown to be sad. I also like the warmth of the artists skin tone. I know its important to show a sense of sadness to make it conventional towards the genre of soul, however; I think using a warm, tanned flesh tone can make the audience feel more welcomed and comfortable to watch and listen to the rest of the album. I then made this page more conventional to the genre by making the whole background black, which then highlighted the artists importance towards the music the disc includes. I liked how the image was a bedroom setting, which can make the audience believe it is more personal and intimate, as it is showing a room where she does most of her chores, makeup and hair routines and more on a daily basis. The audience are able to learn more about her as a character, as they are able to see what kind of trends she likes. The black and white themed room then sums up her personality as dangerous and rebellious. I wanted to keep this disc as simple as possible so it did to look so overwhelming. I think the black background d is effective due to how it is almost meshing in with the outskirts of the artist. This can appeal to the audience are they are able to understand what kind of music is going to be played within the disc, which is interpreted from the display as sad lonely and a dark situation which is eating her alive. Her eye shut can leave an interpretation that it is all becoming too much for her and she can no longer handle it. However, her pout can suggest that she is putting on a brave face and is trying to be as calm and collected a a possible, leaving her to be known as careless.

I decided to use this specific picture which was also shown in a similar way within pne of the music video scenes. I decided to include this within my digipak as I thought it was the most effective way to sum up her character. I think this picture shows a thousand words and allows the audience to immediately understand her personality more clearer than showing another action shot of her performing at the jazz bar again. This also gives the audience an insight towards the album without giving too much away. If you was to look at this page without hearing the album first you would instantly react with her being one a date with a good looking boy, who is clearly into her from the way he is looking at her in lust and her obvious reaction of looking bored, frustrated and showing no kinds of affection towards him. This then highlights her overall persona me and my group wish to accomplish which is careless. You are able to tell her mind is on other things and not the date she is currently having, the audience are unable to tell what this is which make them want to purchase the digipak and not all has been revealed but a tasteful amount. I didn't include much editing towards this as I wanted to make it look as natural as possible, from the lighting of bulbs already used when taking the photograph. I wanted one of the pages to tell a story to the audience to make it seem more like a real life situation instead of a planned photoshoot. The audience are able to build a bond with the artist as they are learning more about her behaviour and ways of how she treats people who care about her. The audience are then intruiged to find out more towards this situation as to why she feels this way and what happens next, leaving them listen to the album. As the target audience is 15-25 year olds, and they are known to be most interested in other peoples personal lives and to gossip, using an image like this is extremely effective as it allows the audience to briefly understand what's happening within the situation, but will only find out the whole story if they listen to the album. This intruiged the target audience to purchase the digipak as they are curious a to why this scenario has occurred.

The photoshoots would take place after we had finished filming different scenes to show the artist in a particular costume and scenario. It is important to take a variety of different photos to ensure you have lots of back up pictures incase some may not turn out how you first imagined. You can then use other photos that may have potential due to thinking ahead during the photoshoot instead of having to do the photoshoot all over again which is time consuming. For my digipak and magazine advert, I made a drawn out plan for a rough idea of what to include for both of the advertisements. I could then visualise how I wished the final products to look and could then feel more comfortable when actually making the decision. I did mainly stick to my plan. However; there were some slight adjustments such as the positioning of the character would stay the same but the artist would be dressed differently as some scenes I thought looked better than my initial plan. I think taking the pictures hpwas quite easy, as we would take them after me and my group had finished filming the specific scene. We would always try to take more than needed of photos just incase the way we visualised a certain expression to turn out didn't actually go according to plan. We would have the artist do various different poses in different rooms and types of lighting to get more of a variety when it actually came to producing our individual digipak and magazine advert.

Planning Digipak - Miss Miller

Digipaks are a type of advertisement in order to promote the artist. They are typically a 6 side grate fold type of cover. They are often used for CD singles or special edition for albums. They are important as they consist of a wide range of information for the audience to immediately understand  which are all key towards the artists album. There are a range of differences towards digipaks in relation towards jewel CD cases. Some of which include the presentation, with the jewel CD case including a paper protection to prevent damage and help it to last longer, whereas digipaks do not. Within the jewel CD case, all of the detail is solely positioned on the front and back, and often contains lyrics of the songs. I decided to use a digipak instead of a jewel CD case due to its high quality images, usually containing letters/notes from the artist directly to the fans, feels more personal towards the audience, they also usually have bonus tracks, meaning there is more available towards the audience than promoting a jewel CD case. Digipaks have also grew in popularity over the years among records labels and recording artists in the early 2000's.

I have decided to show different elements within the digipak to highlight how many different personas the artist has. This shows a subtle hint towards a journey and different situations she has been in within her life which she wishes to share with her fans. As you can see, she varies in different scenarios within the digipak from a bedroom type of room to then a party scene. This is an effective way to immediately show the representation of the artist. This can appeal to the target audience as the ages vary with 15-25 year olds. As you can see within the plan of the digipak, she is shown in a romantic and party light, which extremely attracts young audiences as they are typically known to be interested in everyones personal lives, due to more information to tell gossip to their friends. Not too much is revealed within the advertisement, which only intrigues the audience into wanting to watch and listen more towards this album, resulting to them purchasing it due to the presentation of the digipak. This can show her busy life style, where she has all these different scenarios going on all at once and only wants to live for the moment and not have any worries or anxieties which then leads to her portrayal of careless behaviour.

I decided to use minimal amount of colour, to ensure it stays conventional towards the genre of soul as the artist representation is very alternative and different to the stereotypical female soul artist. I think mainly using the colours of black and white are effective as it almost shows as essence of  mystery, which can engage viewers to purchase this and they want the full length story. These two colours are also perceived to be very upsetting and depressing, due to the level of colour it does not present and seems very dull and blunt. The front colour was very plain and simple using a certain amount of dull colour. However, for the artists costume I decided to use editing to revert the colour back to its original state. I intentionally planned on the artist wearing red to represent the artists characteristics, which is going to be represented as dangerous and trouble. I also want to include hints of red on certain parts. This will represent her as danger as the colour red is usually related back to things like blood etc. I want to include this on things like her costume, such as wearing a red dress and her lipstick, to show she chose voluntarily to wear this certain colour which is an artist representation. This also allows the audience to instantly see this as it is a vibrant colour compared to blacks and whites, and can then interpret that she is a matured character, as she is wearing heavy makeup and provactive clothing. This also relates to Goodwin's theory of making a successful artist 'voyeuristic representation of the female body.'  The red colour can be seen as subversive to the soul genre as it is a very bright colour, and soul genre digipaks usually consist of dull and dim colours to represent a sad mood towards the alum as a whole. However; I only decided to use one bright colour to give the audience a taste towards her particular characteristics and keep the rest black and white to represent a sad mood. I didn't want to include lots of colours as it can look too happy and ruin the whole element of emotion I am trying to portray and can confuse the audience towards what genre it is specified in, such as pop or dance. Using these colours immediately create towards the audience a mood of sadness due to an incident of danger. Not a lot is revealed which is effective as it leaves the audience questioning what has happened and then purchases the album. For the disc page, I wanted to highlight the hair colour and red lipstick, this would show her representation of physically attractive, which would intrigue the audience towards listening to the album as they can be physically attracted to her, due to the vibrance her appearance shows. I want to include the background as a dark colour such as black to make it conventional towards the genre of soul, as it shows a sense of sadness as when your sad you are represented to be in a dark place.

Within this digipak, there are a range of conventions which can be showed to be conventional or subversive towards the genre of soul. The reasons for this is due to my group and my decision towards the representation of the artist is going to be portrayed differently towards other female soul artists to show her reckless and careless behaviour. These include close ups to show the artists facial expression in more detail to ensure the audience are aware of her particular emotion. This also allows no distraction from the background scenery. This is also conventional towards the genre of soul as as the audience are able to see a vulnerability towards the artist, as she is rawly opening up to them, showing an extreme level of emotion. Another convention include black and white colour. This is used to show a sense of sadness and mystery, which is effective within the genre of soul. The mysttowards this is also effective for a digipak as it can intrigue the audience into purchasing the digipak as they would want to know why this situation has occurred and more towards the artist herself. A subversion towards this digipak is the representation of the artist. She is shown in a very voyeuristic manner (Goodwin's theory) with lots of tight and minimal clothing. The typical soul female artist is shown to be fully covered up to show the respect she has for herself but was still treated badly by her significant other. They are usually wearing things like coats to set a mood of a cold, winters day which sets the tone of the emphasis of a sad day for a sad girl. This shows her extraordinary and different character, this is effective as it is refreshing for the audience.

There is a variety of images presented on the digipak. All of the images are different to show the artists life journey and activities and social events she enjoys to participate in. Involving these pictures immediately allow the audience to learn more about the artist, which can then create a bond, resulting towards an effective digipak. There are a range of camera shots to represent a affluent understanding towards cinematography and how I have showed that through the planning of my work. This also helps the audience to get more of an understanding towards the artist herself, differing in types of clothing and footwear she chooses to wear, her hairstyle, makeup, types of scenery and more. Within the planning of the display of the disc, I decided to use a close up of the artist with a very bland expression on her face. This was used to show in a more zoomed in view, her type of makeup, which is very heavy with exaggerated winged eyeliner, contour around the face and red lipstick. I made the camera shot so zoomed in that it can only show half of the artists face. I have planned this as it is conventional towards the soul genre as it allows the audience to get a clear view towards the expression of the artists face and are able to sympathise as the artist is portrayed to be vulnerable as it is easy for the audience to notice that she is upset resulted from the extreme close up.

I also planned to use a long shot to show the artist with a boy. She is immediately shown to be very careless and not bothered in the slightest which is shown through her facial expressions with her eyes closed smiling, body language showing her giving the boy her hand to interpret a statement of 'leave me alone' and 'go away.' This is also shown through the distance of the two characters, and also the mans expressions to be sad and putting down the flowers he was going to give to her. This highlights her independent persona, which many young fans can look up to. This is very inspirational as nearly all soul female artist is shown to be distraught over a heart break from a boy, however this album is shown to have the genders in role reversal. This is highly effective as it teaches young girls to live for themselves and not for a boy which will only break your heart and make you feel insecure. This can also be a reaction shot towards the micro element of editing as it shows the boy reacting negatively towards the situation of realising the girl he wants does not want him. Another picture I decided to use was in a party like scene. This is going to show the artist very much under the influence of alcohol. This is a clear representation of a party scene due to the change of dramatic lighting and lots of alcohol bottles and cups all over the picture in a room of a house. This shows the audience how she enjoys to spend her free time and what sort of social group she enjoys to include herself in. She is shown to be very careless with no doubts and very happy. This will be an effective use within the digipak as it will show more about her character, which is very selfish and self centred. The layout of the images which are used are always involving the character. This is to highlight the importance of the artist towards the album.

The language used is very clear and easy to read to ensure it easily grabs the audiences attention without making them confused and disregarded to want to purchase this form of promotion. This language includes important information upon the artist, album name, track list , release date and a personal note from the artist to her fans. These are used to distinctly show that this is a digipak cover, and to inform the audience upon important information upon the artists career. The front and back cover repeat the album name of 'Your Girl.' This is used to make the audience more likely to remember the artist and the album name. This is also used to highlight to importance of the album towards the digipak, as that is the reason it is being made. The language also includes the songs which are going to be involved within the song. This was used to give the audience more of an idea towards what the songs are going to be about, from the title of them and the images involved which subtly give it away without making it too obvious. The type of language used it very basic and straight to the point. Most scenes do not have much information on, but just the artists name in a big font amd also the album name, this was used to make it more memorable and so the audience did not feel overwhelmed with lots of information going on. The back cover included the tracklist, showing all of the songs which will be included within the album to allow the audience get more of an understanding towards what the songs will be about from the titles of all of them. The main language used is on the personal message page, where the artist themself has wrote a thank you paragraph. Within the message, it includes how grateful she is that she can share the album with a wide range of audiences and how much she loves her fans. This was effective as the the album then instantly felt more personal and then more meaningful. The audience are able to realise that the lyrics she is singing are personal experiences she has encountered and how she has dealt with them. This is conventional to the soul genre as it is showing the artist opening up to the audience in an emotional way. The audience are then able to create a bond with the artist as they are learning more about her and are starting to feel like they know her in a more personal way. I deliberately repeated the album name of 'Your a Girl' so the audience are being constantly reminded of it's name and can then stick in their head more as they are able to remember it due to its repetition and large, bold fonts. I think the language used which enables to audience to connect with the artist the most is the personal message. This is due to it being sincere, which the audience appreciate as the artist has actually put effort within the making of the album instead of hiring a range of people to do it for her. Using specific phrases like"Truly grateful" and "thank you so much" shows the audience just how much the artist appreciates her fans aswell as the other way around. The audience can feel like the feeling like they have done something good, fur to how much the artist is complimenting them.

I found this planning technique extremely useful as it helped to prepare me for the day of taking pictures for the digipak. I was able to visualise exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it, showing high levels of organisation as I had before hand prepared myself. I think without planning this, I would most likely be very indecisive towards what I wanted within the digipak and would then only make it less effective as I would only be choosing pictures for the sake of it. Planning allowed me to effectively see how I wished to represent the artist and what kind of glimpses I wanted to include to show an element of her lifestyle without giving too much away. This also prepared me for Photoshop as I was able to draw out how I wanted everything to be placed. This was effective as I was able to play around with different ideas which would only benefit me to upcoming events of photoshopping the digipak together as I would not be playing about silly editing styles or language presented. I feel like I am more aware of the pictures I want to include as I wish to represent the artist in an attractive, careless and rebellious way which I think the pictures I have drawn out will most suit this statement of characteristics.

I think these pictures which I decided to include we're effective as the audience were able to have an insight towards the personality of the artist. I wished to portray her as very rebellious and careless which is shown through her partying, enjoying the moment and disregarding boys who are shown to be head over heels for her. I think this type of persoanlity has a lot of hidden meaning behind it. As soul music videos usually consist of the female artist being heart broken and truly devastated, showing an artist like Amy can be refreshing for the audience due to the artists extraordinary persona. Target audience ages such as 15-25 year old girls are able to look up to Amy and aspire to be like the independent woman she is. Young girls are able to look up to her due to nice clothing trends and particular and pretty make up looks. For my digipak, I wanted to take the audience on a journey showing the artist being in different situations and how they respond to them. The audience are able to learn more about the character. However, I did not want to include too much detail within it which would give too much away, such as how she got into these scenarios. This would then make the audience curious toward listening to the album for it to be revealed. The audience are able to learn how she responds to certain situations, such as a boy giving her a flowers as a form as a compliment, and her looking very uninterested and not bothered. This highlights her persona as careless, which is the overall message me and my group are trying to put across.

Planning Magazine Advert - Miss Miller

Magazine adverts are important in relation as it is another way for more audiences to acknowledge the artist and what they do. They can become more aware towards who they are, their appearance and what type of genre they range in. This is an example of promotion towards the artist's album. This is effective as the artist is then always being thought about when the audience do not even expect it. Including this within a magazine allows the audience to enjoy the artist and their music even more, if the magazine they purchased they do like (inevitably likeable due to the reason of them purchasing it.) This is an effective way for the artist and their album to be constantly in the lime light and not forgotten about. For my magazine advert, I will be creating one which links into the soul genre. This is important as it is an advertisement for album, meaning that the audience have not heard or seen the album, resulting towards it being the first time fans are witnessing it. This is an important part for the audience to see the representation of the artist and get an overall view upon what type of music is going to be included, how they artist wishes to perceive themselves and how good critics such as newspapers have rated the album as a whole. I will be including a picture of the artist by themselves, including some of the most popular singles which have already been published, the artists name and the release date.

For my magazine advert, I decided to keep all the colours very off key, such as black and white, or off colour filters to set a mood. This type of micro element is effective to use and it immediately insinuates to the audience that this magazine advert will relate to sad type of music, which is generally the genre of soul. Using the language used will also be in the colour black and bold to make it stand out from the monochrome background, so it does not blend in, but still fit into to the genre it is situated in. I decided to include a dress upon the artist in a bright red colour. This is extremely effective as it represents the artist in an immediate manner. I didn't want to only include all dull colours like the stereotypical soul magazine adverts would include as the planning of my music video is extraordinary to typical soul music videos.
The artist is going to be perceived as very careless, rebellious and very contradicted to usual female soul artists as they are stereotypically known as very sweet and innocent which make the audience sympathise for them more when they get their heart broken. The red was purposely used to represent her as a dangerous and sexual female. This is shown as she is wearing a short dress, overdose upon drugs/alcohol and during her songs she is talking about playing around with boys emotions. There is only one image that will be used which is of the girl herself to represent the importance of her towards to album.

Most of the artist is going to be shown to represent her as a sexual object, as lots of skin will be on shown. I also thought her lying down on something such as a bed would be effective as it will highlight how attractive the artist is as her hair would naturally fall into curls. This also relates towards one of her songs 'In My Bed,' which can influence the audience into purchasing the album as they enjoy this song. This will also highlight the sexual magnetism which is presented which is a good set of advertisement, as male audiences can feel attracted to her and female audiences can idolise her and look up to her ways. She is also represented to be attractive, as she is wearing nice clothes, her hair is done nicely and also has a lot of makeup on. Her blunt expression on her face can interpret that she is lost in some sort of thought, showing she has a lot on her mind. This can reveal to the audience that she is going through a lot in her life, and this being shown in an advertisement to promote the album can convey that it is going to be revealed throughout the album. This can intrigue the audience towards purchasing the album as it leaves curiosity as not a lot is exposed.

The type of camera shot I think would be most effective would be a high angle, as you will see the artist in full form upon the bed. Only using this character will also justify the independence which is trying to be conveyed throughout the album. This type of magazine advert is different as most soul magazine adverts will show the artist to be distraught by a certain situation, which will be shown through her looking down/crying etc. Some magazine adverts may also include the boy themselves within the advertisement. Within my advertisement, she is shown to be on her own and looking quite happy about it, through her facial expressions, body language and how beautiful she looks (taking care of herself through hair and makeup.) This can be an inspirational influence upon young girls that they do not need a significant other in their life to be happy, and that it always ends up to be an unhappy and heart broken situation.

The design and layout immediately shows the audience that this is some form of advertisement towards this particular artist, due to the big bold language of the artists name, the artist themselves, the album name, release date, some songs included, the production company and an example of a review. The audience are also able to be aware that this is a promotion towards a new music video, due to unfamiliar song titles and a trendy picture of the artist in a nice red dress with her hair and makeup all done up. The language is very informative as it presents everything essential for the audience to be more aware of the album. This includes album release dates, the album title and reviews. I wanted to make the design very simplistic so that it didn't look like there was too much going on and it looked too over whelming. The language is shown to be bold to grab the audiences attention more, such as the artists name. I wanted to make the texts different fonts and sizes to grab the audiences attention first, and if they were interested; they are able to read more information upon the album. If I was to use the information in all the same size, with the same level of boldness added towards it would only make it look very cramped and uneasy to read. This will then leave the audience to not even bother looking at the advertisement due to how messy it would have looked. The background, I wanted to use an image of the artist to show the audience an insight towards how she physically looks, what she likes to wear and how she likes to dress herself, such as doing her hair and makeup. The audience are also able to also create gestures towards her personality, such as her wearing a red dress; which connotes she is dangerous as red is often referred to blood. I wanted to only use an image of the artist herself for the design to show her as an independent artist, this is also effective as it shows her hidden message of her being a careless towards boys as she is an independent woman who does not live for a man, as it only gets your heart broken. My artist can be perceived as a feminist, which can intrigue more audiences to watch her work as she is seen to be powerful artist. She does not live for a man, but for herself, doing what she wants in her free time and  has a successful career.

I decided to make the typography the colour of black but ensuring it is bold to make it stand out from the background scenery. I thought it was most appropriate to make the artist name extra bold and bigger font than the rest of information involved to ensure it grabs the readers attention just as much as the picture would. This makes the audience look at the name first then afterwards look at the rest of the language used as they wish to read on as they may have already heard of the famous name 'Cara-Lily' and wish to see new things she is doing. This can also make her name more memorable for future reference, which can make her more successful within her career. When the writing wasn't in capitals, I decided to make the writing slightly slanted, joint and putting love hearts about the i's to make it look more girly and sweet. This is conventional towards the genre of soul as it represents the artist as innocent, however thus is juxtaposed subtly through the image of her being showing to be dangerous and sexy and throughout the alm as rebellious and careless. This can interest the audience towards purchasing the album as they wish to learn more about the artist as not much is given away. This is shown through limited use of language and a picture of her. Within the language, I included the artists name, the album name, examples of hit songs on the album, release date, name of production company and ratings of a newspaper. This was effective as there was necessary information provided, but not too much which would disengage the audience. Too much information can also unattract the target audience, as they mainly vary in teenagers. Teenagers are stereotypically known to become uninterested and un motivated to read or do something which seems too hard and difficult. Little information can also interest the target audience as they are not being told the fully story, which will leave them curious resulting to purchasing the album. The style of language is very easy to read which will attract the target audience towards reading more as it is not too complicated and time consuming. I did not want to include qualitative data as it would seem too over powering and cramped.

I found this planning scheme to be useful when in relation to taking pictures for my advert as it allowed me to become more specific and picky towards what kind of photo I wished to use. Before creating this plan for the magazine advert, I was apprehensive and uncertain towards how I wanted the advert to look, I had a range of different ideas in my head which would have only made it more
confusing for me to use when taking the pictures of the artist without having planned it first. This also helped me to prepare for the use of Photoshop as I am now more aware towards where I want the picture and use of language to be placed whilst still making it look effective. I am more aware towards the pictures I need to take for my advert I have organised myself towards what I think this will be most effective. I think this certain image is most effective as it represents the artist exactly how my group and I imagined to portray her. She is shown to be pretty whilst also sexually magnetised with a careless vibe from her which will make her adored by fans due to her extraordinary persona. I have taken inspiration from a variety of different soul artists to create my own product. An example is the artist; Adele. I admired how the whole colour was edited to a monochrome black and white. I thought this was effective as it immediately shows the audience what genre the album specifies in. This shows them through the mood set from
the colouring, as these two colours are very bland, dull and can be depressing. These emotions fit with the genre of soul as they are very passionate and vulnerable. The editing style would not appeal to the audience as a dance genre as they usually use someone who is shown to be very happy, with bright colours which will make the audience have a similar mood due to the amount of positivity which is provided. Soul music is more serious, as it is about an artist sharing an experience which is very upsetting and sad. Another example of inspiration I gained from a successful artist was Paloma Faith. She is shown to be duplicated within her magazine advert. Each duplication shows her hair to remain the same to be in a bright, vibrant red colour. This inspired me to use within my magazine advert, as it connotes a sense of danger, which can show the artist is an unsafe personality. This can intrigue audiences to purchase the album as she is an edgy character, and ages of target audiences, 15-25 year olds are always told to stay away from dangerous things which only makes them want to go near it, leaving them to buying the album. The colour red is shown in the middle of the advert, as the artist costume as a trendy, off shoulder dress.

Analysis of a Star and Dyers Theory - Miss Miller

There are a range of artists who re-invent themselves for a range of reasons. The reasons can range from wanting to express their true personalities on a deeper level, to wanting to reach out and attract different target audiences or to become more popular or famous by almost creating a new individual for themselves. This can be a very effective way for celebrities to become more successful and more famous as they are constantly being talked about, whether on social media, the news, music award shows and so on. Artists can also become more mature and feel that the work that they are creating is not up to the standard they could potentially create if they were making music in a different genre. Changing your genre of music and target audience can make people almost on edge towards what the certain celebrity is going to do next as they are always making publicity.
The most changed artist to this date is Miley Cyrus. Celebrities who grow up in the public eye are most likely to change their target audience and trends etc, as they are growing up and learning who they are day by day, which can cause lots of controversy when asking the opinion of parents, when their children's idol was a Disney pop star who has now spiralled out of control. Growing up in the public eye can only be imagined as being very stressful and scary, which can only pro vote the artist to become extra edgy and sexual when they are older.
Miley Cyrus starred in Disney Channel's hit show 'Hannah Montana,' and was loved by millions from her sweet and innocent persona. Miley soon after changed everything about herself by cutting her hair, wearing very little clothing, behaving constantly sexual and constantly behaving very inappropriately.

The artist who has changed over the years who I have decided to analyse is the artist Selena Gomez. She was also a celebrity who grew up in the public eye. She first starred in one of Disney Channel's shows 'Wizard's of Waverly Place.' When she was first on the famous scene, she was seen as edgy in a young way, seen as very cute and sweet. One her first songs released was 'Falling Down,' which was released in 2009.
By watching the video straight away, there is a clear and repetitive point from Goodwin's theory to show this is an effective music video. (The music video demonstrates genre characteristics.) The artist is shown as dancing around having a good time whilst singing to the song showing lots of close up to show her natural prettiness and to show her young face. Also when there is a long shot of the artist, she is not shown in a sexual manner like most female artists are, as she is primarily just singing whilst wearing an acceptable amount of clothing. Her clothing is conventional
to pop rock due to dark colours presented. She is shown to be wearing dark colours such as black, grey and dark purples. Throughout the video with various costume changes, she is shown to be dressed very casual, wearing things such as t-shirt and jeans. This can represent her young age as she is shown to not reveal much flesh, as she is still a young girl rather than a matured woman. She does not get assets in the video out such as cleavage.

This can also be conventional towards the genre of pop as she is shown to give an 'I don't care' attitude, which can be perceived through her clothing as she is not trying to be someone she is not, but only herself such as things shed wear maybe on a day to day basis. Young audiences are not only building a relationship with her due to similar ages, but also because they are learning more about her. The genre for this artist is Pop with some subtle Rock elements towards it. This music video is conventional towards its genre as it is very performance based to show the artist dancing, singing and certain trends she is conveying. The background is mainly showing lots of bright lights, almost representing a real stage performance happening. The setting can be shown as a contradiction towards her young age as it consists throughout the video to remain very dark, only being able to see the artists and the band slightly in the background. The rest of the black can portray an element of mystery and danger. This is subversive to the teenage years for girls ranging from 12-15 years old as they are stereotyped as sweet and innocent. This can show her extraordinary persona, which audiences enjoy to watch as they are viewing someone who is refreshing and different. Iconography used can be conveyed as very matured, as props include things such as lots of big, heavy lighting, green screens and musical instruments.

This can then show to the audience that she is living a lifestyle which is not suited for her age group. This can give an insight towards the audience towards her particular life. As you can see from the picture above, the camera is actually showing almost a behind the scenes towards her
performing to her music video. This can intrigue the target audience of 12-18 year olds to watch the music video as these age groups are stereotypically perceived to enjoy things such as gossip and other peoples life. By watching this music video, allows audiences to get a glimpse towards what her career involves, making it an effective music video. The artist representation is shown to be quite edgy and dangerous, shown through use of dark colours and attitude she portrays through her confident body language when she dances, which also shows she does not care about what people think about her and she will dance how she desires. However, she is also shown to be innocent through use of costume and makeup. The audience are able to see the minimal amount of makeup used to show her young age.

She is shown to be wearing little amount of face makeup, but mainly noticeable makeup shown in the lip and eye area. She is not shown to be wearing things such as contour to keep her face as natural as
possible, this can also emphasise her natural beauty, which is usually seen on young girls. This is perceived as girls when they are going through teenage stages, stereotypically then go through experimental stages with such things like makeup, clothing trends and   different idols. The target audience for this music video is young teenage girls, as the type of music is girly, but also quite edgy with the type of beat and young girls voice. The hidden meaning through this video can be to show her dark side. As there are props involved such as camera equipment surrounding the artist, can then show almost an over-whelming situation. This can be a hidden meaning as she is just a young teenage girl playing the lifestyle role of a grown woman, having a very successful job. This particular job can be extremely overwhelming due to the artist being constantly in the public eye, with people she does not know criticising her appearance and her musical work, which can be more hurtful in the early teenage years as you are more sensitive due to insecurities feeling more worse than ever. This music video can have a hidden meaning behind it such as she is being suffocated by her lifestyle ands career, this is not shown in an obvious way to allow audiences to enjoy the Pop music video without feeling upset and sympthasising for her. This hidden meaning can also relate to the song title "Falling Down," which can represent her emotional state, towards the extent of her actually falling down maybe due to things such as stress.

The second music video from Selena Gomez I chose to analyse was 'Who Says.' I decided to choose this particular one as her genre of music started to shift. This was interesting to analyse as you can see how she is growing up and maturing and how she is representing that within her music. This music video is about girls having self confidence and feeling good about themselves, which is a difficult subject as girls are getting older and become more insecure about themselves. Selena sets a good example by taking the journey with her fans, as she is part of the young generation too and gives many rhetorical questions within the song to almost sarcastically say no one is judging your flaws. The genre of the song is still Pop but a bit more upbeat and 'girly' than elements of rock like her first songs. This music video was released in 2011.
An example of Goodwin's theory used within this music video is at the start whilst a character in the video is looking through the lens of a camera whilst taking photographs of her (reference to notion of looking.) there is a long shot with both characters in the scene showing Selena's face not looking happy with the situation as she is taking of her earrings and heels and runs away. This shows immediately that she does not care about materialistic and vain products or places because she feels good and confident about herself to do as she desires.
Dyers theory represents Selena as a very sweet and innocent character towards her fans and not fake. An example of this in the music video is when she runs into the bathroom to take off all her makeup, exposing her true self and encourages fans to stay natural, shortly afterwards running out to go and dance and sing with groups of girls. This makes fans want to

follow in her footsteps, as they are inspired to do what their idol does. This artist can be used as a product as she can be used to advertise products to girls to help make them feel good about themselves, which would relate to the music video, such as clothing and perfume ranges. The lighting is effective as it is shown throughout the video showing very warm colours. This is effective for this particular music video as it is meant to be a very warm music video. I say this because the artist is trying to bring positivity towards the audience to love themselves, if the music video were to involve dark colours such as black and blues, it could confuse the audience and ruin the whole message putting across. The meaning towards this music video is to love yourself and not listen to anyone else. I think this is effective as she was shown in the public eye of her growing up. She has been nastily talked about by magazines and social media either criticising her appearance or her work. This can be extremely hurtful for an in progress teenager, who is stereotypically known to be more insecure than someone who is an adult. This can be inspirational for the audience as they can then look up and idolise her.

Selena Gomez is represented as both ordinary and extraordinary within the music video as she is different from the majority of female artists, as they are stereotypically known as revealing themselves in a sexual manner. This is an example of Dyer's theory. This is shown in the music video when she is wearing clothing such as long dresses and baggy clothes. Also, ordinary as girls are constantly being told to stop feeling insecure, however; Selena has said this statement in a more inspiring and bolder manner. Another way which is she presented as extraordinary is the meaning of the song, which is teaching young girls to love themselves and to not listen to people who try to knock you down, this represents her as caring towards her fans more than her own emotions and haters. Female artists are stereotypically known to write songs about being in love and being heart broken, revolving their career towards their personal love life. Selena is shown to not care about wanting materialistic goods, which most people in life aim to have. This is shown in the music video where she has it all at a photo shoot, and runs out taking off her expensive heels and fine jewellery whilst running along the street pathway. This makes the audience believe that she is just as normal as her fans and does not see a superiority between her and them. Although, she is shown as ordinary in the music video, shows her in an extraordinary manner, as most singers aim to be more superior than others in order to gain respect, such as rappers, using iconography of expensive cars, costume and jewellery and also expensive settings with lots of women in lust about them, to overall say 'look how much more I have than you.'

The target audience to this music video is mainly teenage girls but around 12-22 year old girls. The target audience has not changed mcuh from her older songs but had started to grab older peoples attention, such as people in their 20's. The target audience for this music video has altered from her previous music video of 'Falling Down' as the audience is becoming more mature within age. This is because she is becoming older herself, this is shown through such things like her clothing trends are changing. You are able to see how the target audience has slightly altered as the artist is mainly focusing upon young teenagers to young adults. This is a successful age range as these are a stereotypical ages which girls are most self conscious and always not feeling good way. Selena is then shown as a good role model, telling them to love themselves, as she is using her popular status to send a positive and impacting message towards large groups of audience as it gained an overall view on Youtube on 227+ million views.

The final music video I have analysed from this artist is her most recent single called 'Good For You.' Selena Gomez has taken a very big leap towards changing her style, image and genre, which is evident throughout the video. This song is categorised more into the R&B genre, which does mean changes within the setting of the video, artist characteristics and difference in target audience.
The artist's body language has differed. Before, in old music videos, the artist was very jumpy and very child like, however; in present time, she is slowly moving on the sofa and being very sexual towards the camera. A similar micro elements from mise en scene, is the positioning of the character, as she is always centered in the middle to highlight he relevance of herself within the video, even though there are no other characters involved. Her style has more basic than trend setting. In the video, she is shown to wear simple coloured and styled clothes as she is trying to draw more attention towards the fact that she has got older and her maturity levels have risen. She is trying to leave a more sexual long term message than showing what design of clothes she is wearing.

Costume and hair has also changed for this artist. Her old trends were very appropriate, being covered quite a lot with little skin on show. Now she has become a lot more bare whilst showing herself in the music video to have damp hair and t-shirt. This then evolved to the audience viewing her in a different light and insinuate a more sexual magnetism towards her. I think using very little clothing, and when being used, having ti basic instead of extravagant is effective as it shows her as being vulnerable. It highlights her sexual mannerisms towards someone she has feelings for and is expressing them in a way as if he is just watching and not a large audience of 340+ million. This can then also show how her confidence has increased, as she is now comfortable as using her voyeuristic ways to making a more successful career.

There is also another example of the artist shown to have matured by the artist being shown to give a tasteful glimpse and teases towards her in the shower. This shows a vulnerable and extrememly bare state within that particular scene. This is something that is seen to be inappropriate, and is a clear showing of how much her character has changed since she first started the industry. Also, as she is changing her type of music genre to R&B, female artists are expected to behave in a different manner than a female artist who focuses on soul music. This is due to the hugely different target audience. Women are expected to have lots of attitude, and to be very powerful, whilst also being objectified sexual by male audiences.

Slow editing is used effectively within the music video. This is a micro element which relates towards Goodwin's theory, which makes a successful music video. One of his theories were the relationship between he music and visuals. This is effective due to the slow motion of camera usage towards the slow beat of the song. This is used when the audience are watching Selena in the shower, which again shows her in a provocative manner. Hidden meanings towards using the editing style of slow editing can be towards her and the boys relationship. Such as they were taking things slow to ensure feelings don't get hurt early one, the couple are able to develop  strong feelings towards each other, which has led her to only want to please her boyfriend and no one else, shown in both a sexual and emotional way.

A use of cinematography is used to show the power of the artist. Low angle is used within a clip of the video to make the audience look up to the character, shows her as a dominant artist. This is effective for the genre of R&B, (which she is trying to persue into) as women which specify in that particular genre are respected (eg, Nicki Minaj, Rhianna, Beyonce.) Using this type of camera angle can have a long of hidden meanings, such as she is the dominant one within her relationship with the mystery man. She is shown as dominant as she is the one at a higher level, more in the hierarchy category.
She is represented as both extraordinary and ordinary in various amounts of ways. This is theory which Dyer created which makes a successful artist. She is shown as ordinary shown through clothing, such as basic jeans and white t shirt. This can show that she is just like every person in the world being in love, and that being famous doesn't make you love any more or less. The audience are then able to create a relationship with her as they can be able to express the same emotion as they have felt it in some degree before. Audiences are then able to create a bond due to the relatable emotion, which can make the audience happy for the artist as she is shown to be happily in love. She is also shown as extraordinary as is shown to be highly confident from being in lust and love. She is shown to not have a care in the world and only think about the boyfriend and only wants the best for him. She's in her own extraordinary world that only revolves around her happiness with her loved one. This is extraordinary as it is hard to be constantly in the publics eye and would inevitably receive hate as well as love when you are that known around the world. Audiences are then able to respect her as she is shown as a young woman, experiencing love and wanting to express her lubricious emotions towards her fans as if it is a real life girl to girl gossip session talking about boys.

A camera use of close up is used effectively within the music video to clearly show the heavy makeup she is representing. She is wearing thick, black eye makeup to make herself seem more appealing towards male audiences in a voyeuristic way. This also shows a sense of danger as girls who do not wear makeup, or minimal amounts are stereotypically seen in society to be very sweet and innocent, however girls of the opposite are seen to be dangerous, scary and lots of trouble. The target audience for this music video is 15-25 year olds. These age ranges are suitable as it is about a love story, which these ages are stereotypically more vulnerable to and they are new to the experience and falling in love. She is also shown in a voyeuristic way with lots of skin being revealed, which shows her sexual persona, which the age ranges of 15-25 year olds are fully aware of due to high hormone rates of the sex drive rather than someone who is younger or older than the particular ages. You are able to see how Selena's target audience has changed over time due to how much she has matured over the years and how she has gone from a teenager to adult, also evolving her music alongside of her. You are able to see how the artist has changed her trends in terms of genre and beat, costume, body language, and narrative, as she is now much more sexual and talking about relationships and being in love, instead of being an independent punk rock young teenage girl that once had no interest of boys. Audiences are able to create a bond with the artist as they are able to see how she has evolved into a matured, young woman. Audiences are also able to see her vulnerability, as she is talking about how much she likes someone and she only wants to be 'good to them.' This can then be perceived as kind of gossip, a friend to friend scenario where one girl is telling the other her current relationship status. The audience are then able to create a relationship as it seems like a real life conversation rather than just a music video.

After analysing how the artist has changed over time into a more successful artist really showed me a more in depth response towards how important it is for artists to portray a certain new feeling or emotion within their work. This has helped me to be inspired for my music video as I was able to recognise what kind of elements the artist has kept and which she has gained. For example: staying in similar genres but giving more meaning towards her work. I think giving a lot of meaning towards the music video really helps the audience connect with the situation and artist, which is why I am thinking to base my music video in the genre of soul. This genre is the most effective as it portrays the most amount of passion, as they music involved usually includes a devastating experience the artist has endured, such as a break up. However; I am extremely drawn to an artist who is shown to be rebellious. This is most shown in Selena's work in her video 'Good For you' as she takes a leap from girly songs to a more sexual song with minimal clothing and narrative being shown, just her performing to a camera. This also shows a sense of maturity within her work. Some artists which I think would fit into the criteria of my visualised music video would be artists such as Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears. They are all sexually magnetised women due to their maturity. I am particularly interested in Amy Winehouse due to her rebellious representation, she is shown to be have tattoos, smoke, drink acohol and have an overall very careless attitude. I think this would be effective to include within producing a music video as it can have a range of hidden meanings, such as women independence. This is shown to be very rare within the soul genre, as female artists are shown to live for men and then get heart broken by them. Using this element will show a sense of extraordinary within the artist, which will be refreshing for audiences to watch.

Risk Assessment - Miss Georgiou

The purpose of a risk assessment is to understand and gain knowledge towards potential threats towards finishing the music video and to the people involved. As you can see from the table above, I have provided a variety of risks that can occur within the music video and ways in which to prevent them. By writing in detail what can potentially happen then makes the group more careful towards the particular risk. It can also make individuals feel more at ease as they are being made aware towards what can concievably happen and ways they can prevent it themselves and how me and my group will help to prevent it. I have included various amounts of examples which a risk can happen throughout the music video. Creating this assessment was beneficial for me as it made me more aware towards the fact that a small mistake can make a very big impact. This then encouraged me to be more organised and prioritise this risk assessment before filming anything to ensure there are no on site risks which could may disrupt and ruin the music video scene. Doing an assessment of this allows everyone to be more aware of risks that may occur and can be more cautious when they are close to erupt.

We did not encounter many risks within our filming, due to how aware we became after doing our planning for the risks. However; an example of a risk we almost encountered was the weather risk. The day we planned to film our walk of shame scene which was outdoors, it started raining; despite checking weather apps before hand. This could have been a risk for the artist as she was wearing heels and could have very easily slipped and extremely hurt herself, maybe even leading to unable to film any scenes due to the amount of pain and bruises. We then thought it would be appropriate to postpone this scene to another day and then use the time to film an indoors scene. Another risk which we encountered was characters becoming too much under the influence during the party scene, despite me and my groups best attempts to take the alcohol away. This was a contribution towards why this scene was not successful. This risk was why we thought it would be more appropriate to re-film this scene in a different setting, where the whole scene is acting out in a hypothetical situation. Within the role of this risk assessment, I have learnt how much one little risk can result towards such a strain within the music video. This then made me more aware towards little and big things within the music video, to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently.

Filming schedule - Miss Georgiou

Within the filming schedule, me and my group thoroughly planned each fraction in detail with help from planning with our storyboards. Although, we would go into more detail with the dates, times, the content, costume, hair, make-up, iconography, personnel involved and equipment needed to complete the certain fraction. During filming, me and my group did follow the filming schedule in order to be organised and complete the music video in timed form. We did not make any changes. However, we had to change a date to the day after for the house party scene as it made more sense for the extras involved and the party host could no longer do that day. This set back did not hold my group back due to the minor date change of just the day after. This is shown through fractions 12 to 19 and also 43 to 56. All of the rest of the scenes stayed exactly the same, which represents our effective organisational and planning skills. The costume stayed exactly the same, which was shared throughout the group of existing clothes we already had which we thought was suitable for a particular scene and the representation of the artist. We would change things slightly which would range in the duration of the shot, for example adding or taking away a second to make the

Within the planning of this detailed filming schedule, there are a few fractions which we decided to change. Me and my group decided to convert different days around which where meant to be for different scenes. The dates which we were meant to film our walk of shame scene on the 15th November. However; we had previously checked various weather apps to ensure we got the most precise accuracy of temperature possible. It said it was meant to be mild, which was suitable for the walk of shame scene, as the neutral weather allowed no disruption from the distraction of the artist. The day we decided to include then coincidentally was terrible weather as it was raining all night. Although, me and my group decided to take advantage of the equipment we currently were possessing and concluded to use this day to film the bedroom scene. This was effective as it was indoors and the rain would then not interrupt our filming. This was the only change towards the planning of our filming schedule.

We decided as a group to re film the party scene, as the filming which we did manage to get was not effective and would have ruined the music video. We decided as a group, it would be more successful to create a hypothetical party scene, where it is all acted out without using authentic party scene material. We thought this was better as extras which were involved were not listening to instructions and only wanted to enjoy their Friday night out. We will now create this scene in an earlier afternoon time rather than late at night, and are also shooting it in school rather than an actual house party. This would be more effective as people in a school environment will naturally feel more motivated to complete the work. The filming of this scene is postponed to the 4th December.

Additional scenes my group decided to include was made in the performance scenes. We initially planned to use types of cinematography like mid shots and close ups just of the artist singing in the middle of the stage. However, on the day of filming, we thought involving close ups of the artist also singing against a brick wall would be effective. This then allowed us to involve a variety of shots within this scene. We also added more footage to other verses which we had not planned to use for this scene. We thought this was efficient as we were then more organised incase of another scene ends up not fitting well with the verse, we then have a back up plan. From the role of a filming schedule, I have learnt how much detail needs to be involved within every fraction of the scene. This then allowed us to be more organised and more aware of what needs to be provided for a certain scene. This type of planning allowed us to be more formulated as a group.  We went into detail in every element for the fraction, this involved micro elements such as costume, hair and makeup, camera shots, iconography, equipment, date, time and locations.
